The lesson plans really help to understand the basics of chess and some of the more advanced concepts like when to convert a pawn to a knight instead of a queen to check a king. Love this app!

Everything you need

The free version of this app is very good for playing with friends or online challengers. It does everything that I need. I dont understand some of the criticisms that Ive seen posted.

Tried another chess app, but every time I would join a game, the opponent would drop, havent had the experience using this app. Great to actually be able to play the game instead of getting one move in and seeing, "game resigned by opponent".

All I do is play this app now! I love that it teaches me and even shows a review of each game you play and what you did right or wrong and what you should have done instead. So brilliant! And free!

Very polished and stable for the most part. Fairly regular updates, great chess lessons and tactics training. Pretty talented user base to learn from as well!
